It is a city, located on the banks of Hoogli river, that boasts remnants of British Rule in India which are evident through its Victorian style of architecture, trams and the nomenclature of the place.   • KOLKATA SIGHTSEEING

    After breakfast, visit the Dakshineshwar Kali Temple dedicated to goddess Kali (Dark Mother Goddess in Hinduism). Next, visit the St. Johns Church - 3rd oldest church of Kolkata - built in 1787. While driving past Eden Gardens - the oldest and biggest cricket stadium of India, spend time clicking photographs here. Visit the Mother Teresas Mother House of the Missionaries of Charity. This tranquil holy place houses the mortal of Mother Teresa here. Drive past the St. Pauls Cathedral built in 1847, inspired by the Indo-Gothic style of architecture. Head to the Victoria Memorial Hall - a huge marble museum memory of Queen Victoria to celebrate her 25 years of rule over India.   • KOLKATA -BAGDOGRA [BY FLIGHT]-BAGDOGRA-GANGTOK (125 Kms/Approx. 4 Hrs)

    After breakfast, you will board a flight to Bagdogra Airport. On reaching, our company representative will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to the hotel in Gangtok. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. GANGTOK: Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim (known as the Switzerland of North-East India). Also, it is a popular pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhists. It is popular among trekkers for treks to the Himalaya Mountain Ranges. It is also famous for its striking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga (3rd highest peak in the world). Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.

  • GANGTOK SIGHTSEEING

    After breakfast, your Gangtok sightseeing tour begins with visit to the Tsomgo Lake or the Changu Lake. Located at an altitude of about 12,310 ft, it leads your way to the Nathula Pass where the connecting border of India and Tibet lies. The beauty of this doubles with the reflections of the surrounding hills falling on it. Drive back to Gangtok and head to Enchey Monastery. It is an around 200-years old Buddhist monastery blessed by Lama Drupthob Karpo (an exponent of Tantric Art Buddhism). Next, visit the Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre where you willsee local women busy in weaving carpets, designing handlooms etc. Head to the Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden that is said to have about 50 varieties of trees. Visit the Rumtek Monastery. It is a 3-storied monastery that houses wall murals, thangkas, golden miniature models of Buddha, silk paintings, a huge prayer hall and lots more for you to explore.   • GANGTOK-KALIMPONG (80 Kms/Approx. 3 Hrs)

    In and around KalimpongAfter breakfast, drive to Kalimpong. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Proceed with Kalimpong sightseeing tour. Visit the Shri Hanuman Park that houses a life-size saffron-colored statue of Lord Hanuman placed on a hillock and a Hanuman temple as well. Next, visit the Lepcha Museum that displays the musical instruments, handicrafts, manuscripts and clothing etc. belonging to the Lepchas ((former inhabitants of Sikkim). Later, visit the Gaden Tharpa Choling Monastery formed in 1912. Head to the Pine View Nursery that displays an exotic range of cactus, flower tuber & bulbs and lots more. Click photographs with the never seen before varieties of cacti flowers here. Rest of the day at leisure or you can visit the Teesta Bazaar, a shoppers paradise of Sikkim, for souvenir shopping.   • KALIMPONG-DARJEELING (50 Kms/Approx. 2Hrs)

    After breakfast, drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. DARJEELING: Darjeeling is a city called the Queen of Hills or . It is also renowned for the Darjeeling tea as it is one of the finest tea producers in the world. So when you visit Darjeeling, dont forget to taste the different varieties, Darjeeling has to offer. Also, witness the British-style public schools, varied cultures, extensive tea plantations and the first toy train of India that still runs here. Overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.

  • DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING

    Early morning visit to the Tiger Hill (8,400 ft). This early morning spectacle will sweep you off the ground with its sunrise views that you wont find anywhere else in Darjeeling. Return to the hotel and settle in for breakfast. Visit the Peace Pagoda that showcases four avatars (forms) of Lord Mahavir Buddha. Nearby is a Japanese Temple dedicated to Fuji Guruji who founded Nipponzan Myohiji (Buddhist order for world peace). Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (7,000 feet) built in honor of Tenzing Norgay who climbed Mt. Everest with Edmund Hillary in 1953. Head to the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (7,000 ft) - the largest high altitude zoo in India founded in 1958. Later, visit the Tibetan self-help centre (7,031 ft.) that is home to an overwhelming majority of Tibetan refugees who make their living by producing handicrafts.Visit the Happy Valley Tea Estate. Here walk through the landscapes of tea plantation hills of the Happy Valley Tea Estate dotted with local homes and cottages and a tea factory. Also, witness how tea is processed at a tea factory here. [During winter (From November to March) there will be no activities like Plucking & Processing in the tea estate, one can visit the gardens only.] Later in evening, prep for a spectacular 2-hour Toy Train Ride from Darjeeling Railway Station to Ghoom (7,404 ft). On the way, absorb breathtaking views of the mountains, valleys, lush tea gardens and local villages of Darjeeling along with visits to the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway museum and Batasia Loop.
