Today we enjoy a full day of sightseeing in India?s capital city. In Old Delhi we enjoy an exhilarating rickshaw ride around Chandni Chowk bazaar and visit the UNESCO-listed Humayun?s Tomb. We also explore the giant Jama Masjid mosque and Raj Ghat, the site of Gandhi?s cremation. An eternal flame now burns at the memorial in his honour. In New Delhi we stroll down the ceremonial Rajpath and see the India Gate monument, a memorial to those Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War and Qutub Minar. This evening we enjoy a Namaste dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will drive to agra, you will initiate the sightseeing tour of Agra. You will visit Agra Fort and Taj Mahal, both of which are the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. ?leader to shop for fireworks where they will help you choose the right ones for the celebrations later. Take a detour to visit local sweet shops as during Diwali sweets are a traditional gift. Some of these shops have been making amazing sweets for generations. Your leader will point out which sweets to choose and their significance. Since Diwali is a victory celebration of good over evil, Indians typically dress in their finest clothes. As a gesture of good will it is appropriate for you to dress nicely for this evenings celebration. There may even be a saree surprise in store for you later! Tonight, dark lanes and alleys will be brightly lit, the sound of fireworks and happiness floating through the wind. The evening we will be spent with a local family on their rooftop, celebrating Diwali in their traditional style with you. Your leader will help you through the intricate customs of Diwali rituals, prayer sessions, gift exchanging, lighting of candles and oil lamps, eating snacks, and drinking. Take in the rooftop views with fireworks all around while sharing a home-cooked meal with the family and being entertained by local musicians singing traditional Diwali songs.
After having breakfast and checking out from the hotel, you will leave for Jaipur en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. You can visit Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and other famous edifices in Fatehpur Sikri. Then you will depart for Jaipur. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.
After having breakfast, you will explore the major attractions of the city. You will visit Amer Fort, Maharaja?s City Palace, Jantar Mantar ( the observatory), Hawa Mahal ( the palace of wind) and other places like the rose garden and business centers in the city. In the evening, you can enjoy shopping in the local markets. Overnight stay is in the hotel.
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will depart for New Delhi railway station for train to overnight train to varanasi. overnight stay in train.
On arrival, you will be met and transfered to your hotel. you could take up small sightseeing around the hotel. You can find a lot of shops around the temples and on the roadsides. You can shop for statues, brass works, ritual items, Benaras silk material and others. The trip starts right before sunset. Visit to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the Ganga Aarti. It is the famous attraction of Varanasi in which you can watch interesting rituals performed to please the River Ganges and God of Fire. If you are a photo enthusiast, this will be an interesting spot to click pictures. You can also choose to watch the ritual on a boat, from the river. The ghat tend to get very crowded during the attraction. Night stay in Varanasi.
The day starts with an early morning boat ride on river Ganges. You would watch local rituals along the riverside and ghats during the ride. The locals of Varanasi visit River Ganges very early in the morning to pray to Sun God. You will also ride through many ghats, which are famous for any unique activity. For instance, Manikarnika Ghat is famous for Hindu cremation rituals. After the boat ride, you would be visiting top temples in the city like Sankat Mochan temple, Kashi Vishwanath temple, Kalbhairav temple, ManasMandir, Birla temple, Bharat Mata temple and others. Some temples have strict rules regarding usage of mobile phones and cameras. Please follow the simple rules.? In the afternoon, you will be taken on an excursion to Saranth from Varanasi. Sarnath is an important Buddhist pilgrim spot. It is the place where Buddha made his first sermon after getting enlightenment. Later departure transfer from hotel to airport.
