Delhi: Day 1 - In the evening you will meet the group and Adventure Leader at the hostel. Here you will have a pre-departure briefing in which your Adventure Leader will tell you everything you need to know about the tour. After you will sit down and have dinner together as a group and take part in your first Hindi lesson of the trip. You will then make your way to Sri Bangla Sahib Gurdwara, one of Delhi?s iconic Sikh temples and take a tour of the temple. If you?re still peckish, then you can indulge in one of the night suppers provided by the gurdwara.
Delhi & Varanasi: Day 2 - Throughout the morning and afternoon, you will wander the streets of Delhi where youll explore the Shri Digambar Jain Temple and visit a local street food and spice market to try some local delicacies. Later, make your way to The Lodi Garden Park and admire some Lodhi Colony Street Art - Indias first-ever Public Art District on the walls of the iconic Lodhi Colony of Delhi. In the evening get yourself ready for the start of your India adventure and your first overnight train as you travel to Varanasi!
Varanasi: Day 3 - Arrive in Varanasi early in the morning and take a private transfer to your accommodation. Check in to your hostel you take part in an optional breakfast food tour where you can taste some local delicacies. After, you will enjoy a walking tour Varanasi Old town where youll visit the Blue Lassi Store. Later, you can spend the afternoon watching the Ganga Aarti Ceremony, a devotional ritual made to the Goddess Ganga that uses fire. You have two options, you can either witness the ceremony for free amongst the crowd or as optional activity you can pay a small fee and hop on a boat to watch Ganga aarti ceremony! In the evening you will have the option to enjoy a group dinner at the Dolphin restaurant.
Agra: Day 4 - Wake up before the crack of dawn and enjoy a sunrise boat tour. You will be able to witness the religious significance of the Ganges River as the local community begins their morning prayers and washing in holy water. After youll be able to take part in an optional activity - (Explore Sarnath Buddhist and Hindu archaeological site and visit the deer park nearby where you can walk around the gardens and feed the wild deers). In the evening you will board an overnight train to Agra.
Agra: Day 5 - Arrive in Agra and check in to your accommodation. This morning you will be able to take part in some optional activities - (Take a rickshaw to Agra Fort, one of India?s listed UNESCO World Heritage sites or chill out with the group at a rooftop pool). In the evening as a suggested activity, you can enjoy dinner and drinks as a group at the Hotel Taj Resort.
Jaipur: Day 6 - Wake up and experience a beautiful sunrise over the majestic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will take some time to explore the site and get that Insta worthy snap!. After, you will take a private transfer to Jaipur and check into your accommodation followed by an optional visit to Nahargarh Fort. Here, you will enjoy your second Hindi lesson.
Jaipur: Day 7 - In the morning make your way to Monkey Temple in Galtaji and get the opportunity to feed the wild monkeys. After, make your way to Amber Fort, one of the most famous forts of Rajasthan with influences from both Hindu and Muslim architecture. In the evening take part in some optional activities - (Watch a Bollywood movie at famous Raj Mandir Theatre or enjoy a food court tour and soak up the nightlife of Jaipur).
In and around JaisalmerJaisalmer: Day 8 - Today you free to do what you want. However, you can take part in some optional activities - (Experience a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, join in on a guided tour of Jaipur or take part in an art class at the Creatis Studio). In the evening you will hop on an overnight train and make your way to Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer: Day 9 - Arrive in Jaisalmer and make your way to your hostel where you can take some time to shower, rest and have something to eat. In the afternoon you will make your way to the desert via jeep. Here you will begin your Camel Safari to your campsite for the evening. For dinner, you will all sit around a campfire, enjoy a vegetarian dinner and soak up the incredible views of the night sky.
Jaisalmer: Day 10 - Wake up early for an incredible sunrise and make your way to a local desert village via a camel trek. Afterwards will head back to your hostel and take some time to relax and grab some lunch. In the afternoon you can take part in some of our suggested optional activities - (Visit the Jaisalmer Fort ? a hilltop citadel with the ornate Maharaja?s Palace or explore Gadsisar Sagar Lake, built by Raja Rawal Jaisal, the first ruler of Jaisalmer). In the afternoon you will check out of your hostel and transfer to Jodhpur. When you arrive in Jodhpur you will enjoy your third Hindi lesson and check in to your accommodation.
Jodhpur: Day 11 - This morning you will take part in a guided tour around Jodhpur exploring the local sites. After, you can take part in some optional activities - (Hop on a flying fox zipline over the Mehrangarh Fort or you join a Krishna cooking Indian cooking workshop where youll learn how to cook 10 local dishes).
Mumbai: Day 12 - Wake up and catch a flight to Mumbai. Arrive at Mumbai airport in the afternoon and take a private transfer to your hostel. In the afternoon explore the Gateway of India and the Colaba District, a monument that marks Indias chief ports. In the evening you will have the option to take part in a night out in Mumbai with your fellow dragons.
Mumbai: Day 13 - Today you can take part in some optional activities - (In the morning pay a visit to the Dharavi Slum and learn about the largest slum in Asia and in the afternoon try your hand at washing clothes in the traditional way at Dhobi Ghat Mahalaxmi).
Mumbai: Day 14 - As a suggested activity you can go and see the legendary Dabbawala delivery men in action - a lunchbox delivery system that delivers hot lunches from homes and restaurants to people within India. Afterwards, you take part in an optional activity - (Visit the Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum, a two-story museum dedicated to the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi). In the afternoon you can enjoy some free time to relax or do some more sight-seeing.
Mumbai: Day 15 - At 11am, youll transfer to Mumbai airport where you will catch an afternoon flight to Goa. In the evening, you?ll arrive at your hostel where you can spend the rest of the day as you please. Ask your guide for the best bars and restaurants nearby or take a sunset stroll along the beach!
Goa: Day 16 - Today you have a free day! Treat yourself to a day of ultimate relaxation with a visit to Goas beautiful beaches. Close to the hostel you can find both the Ozran and Chapora beaches. Both are quaint arches of sand, with Chapora fort ruins located high on the cliff just beside the beach! However, if you fancy more adventure in your day then you can take a taxi to the Old Town to explore the streets lined with old Portuguese colonial buildings. End the day with an optional night on the town in India?s party state!
Goa: Day 17 - Enjoy some more free time and make the most of your last day in Goa by hitting up the beaches left on your list or fitting in some last-minute visits to the abundance of heritage sites. In the afternoon you can take part in an optional activity - go kayaking through Goa?s rivers and backwaters, where you can appreciate up close the scenic jungles and mangroves as you paddle by!
Goa: Day 18 - Today marks the end of your tour. Take the time to say goodbye to your fellow dragons before either heading home or continuing your travels.
